School bullying has been proven to have serious negative impacts on children of all ages– both mentally and physically and has continued to see an increase of public concern over the last several decades. Different approaches and programs have been put into place by the public school systems to bring knowledge to our children on the damage done by these hurtful displays of bullying and victimization. It is important that we educate ourselves and our children on the realization that bullying is a major issue within our school systems that can be eliminated with the right tools. Great avenues for education on these issues are in school assemblies, with topics varying from not only bully awareness, but also peer pressure, internet safety, drug and alcohol awareness and any other topic that is hitting home in your school district.
